Welcome to Cafe Springfeld, a little slice of heaven nestled in the vibrant district of Kreuzberg in Berlin. This charming café, located at Axel-Springer-Straße 39, offers more than just coffee and baked goods; it serves an experience steeped in artistic spirit.

As you step through the door, the air greets you with a delightful scent reminiscent of both freshly brewed coffee and old books, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons you to sit and stay awhile. The sound of rustling elm trees outside adds a serene backdrop for your visit, harmonizing with the artistic design that surrounds you.

The café is particularly known for its homemade dishes. Local patrons rave about the gnocchi with gorgonzola — a dish that takes patience to make but is well worth the wait. Each pillowy bite offers a rich, creamy flavor that melts in your mouth, capturing the essence of home-cooked Italian fare right in the heart of Berlin. Pair that with the quiche, celebrated for its flaky crust and delectable fillings; it’s a must-try for anyone looking to savor homemade goodness.

The quaint courtyard seating is perfect for those sunny days when you want to revel in the beauty of nature while sipping on coffee. Customers like Elettra Arazatah have described the ambiance as "the sound of the elm trees" and "an atmosphere of artistic design," making it an ideal spot for both reflection and casual conversations. Whether you're looking to steal a quiet moment or engage in vibrant discussions, Cafe Springfeld sets the stage beautifully.

Don't miss the opportunity to engage with the cafe's owner, whose personality lights up the place. Tim Callow spoke fondly of the "funny" service, and many visitors express that this personal touch transforms a meal into an extraordinary experience. Grab a coffee, ask her about her favorite old Berlin tales, and get lost in the charm of the café's unique offerings.

Cafe Springfeld is not just a café — it's a hidden gem that invites you to pause, enjoy, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of creativity that Berlin has to offer. So next time you find yourself in the bustling streets of Berlin, take a moment to unwind at Cafe Springfeld — you deserve it!

A smell of books and of old beautiful things, the sound of the elm trees, an atmosphere of artistic design. It felt if I'd look behind my shoulder I see a group of young dadaists smoking and exchanging ideas. A marvellous place to have a break and think.

Great place, in a very cozy courtyard. Homemade food. Bring a bit more time for the gorgonzola gnocchi and old Berlin stories of the lady who owns the place.

Everything here is homemade. The quiche is excellent. Nice seating outside in the green courtyard. Great to take a break from the bustling city.

An absolute gem, tucked away, with the most phenomenal owner. Coffee and quiche is essential. Just take it all in and ask questions, she's brilliant!

Really lovely little cafe. The quiche is the best I've had in Berlin, all home made. Lovely little quiet garden off the main road. So nice to sit here and grab a coffee and relax in the shade on a sunny day.

Not for those ones in a hurry. The owner cooks everything herself. She is an extravagant, exuberant lady and a formidable host. No cards accepted. Good food!
